Arsenal pull off amazing comeback in League Cup

Arsenal came back from 4-0 down after 40 minutes against Reading to win 7-5 in extra-time.

After they Royals looked to have won the game on 40 minutes with a Noel Hunt goal, Theo Walcott soon grabbed a goal just before half-time.

Walcott then led the comeback, grabbing an equaliser in the dying seconds after Olivier Giroud and Laurent Koscielny (who had scored a own goal earlier) scored.

It went to extra-time, and, despite Pavel Pogrebnyak making it 5-5 with just minutes to go, a Walcott third and Maroune Chamakh second won the historic victory for the Gunners.

That wasn't the only surprise of the night, with League Two Bradford knocking Wigan out on penalties, Swindon almost beating Aston Villa, Leeds knocking out Southampton and Sunderland losing to Middlesborough.

The full results:
Reading 5-7 Arsenal (after extra-time)
Leeds United 3-0 Southampton
Swindon 2-3 Aston Villa
Sunderland 0-1 Middlesborough
Wigan 0-0 Bradford (Bradford win on penalties)
