FA Cup: Third round and fourth round draw round-up

There weren't that many Cupsets in the third round. The first fixture was probably the most surprising, with Brighton beating Newcastle 2-0.

Chelsea, Manchester City and Tottenham eased through, but only a late equaliser from Robin Van Persie saved Man United going out at the first hurdle to West Ham.

On the next day, Swansea and Arsenal played out an exciting 2-2 draw, the match going to a replay. Daniel Sturridge scored on his Liverpool debut as the Reds beat Mansfield 2-1.

One of the other upsets was Luton beating Wolves 1-0, with Wanderers' manager being sacked after the disappointing defeat. The lowest side still in the competition, Hastings United, put up a fight against Middlesborough but ended up losing 4-1.

Selected results:
Man United 2-2 West Ham
Man City 3-0 Watford
Southampton 1-5 Chelsea
Tottenham 3-0 Coventry
Swansea 2-2 Arsenal
Cheltenham 1-5 Everton
Brighton 2-0 Newcastle
Mansfield 1-2 Liverpool

And after those games, the draw for the fourth round was made. Here are some of the main fixtures:

Luton v Norwich
West Ham/Man United v Fulham/Blackpool
Crystal Palace/Stoke v Man City
Brentford/Southend v Chelsea
Brighton v Swansea/Arsenal
