How is the Premier League shaping up?

As the teams reach the half-way mark in the Premier League season, ZSN looks how the Premier League is shaping up for the final half.

The leaders:
After a brief stint at the top of the table, Chelsea have slipped under the two Manchester clubs, who are looking the main two clubs to win. Although the Blues are only four points below 2nd place City, it is looking like a two-horse race at the moment, with Manchester United just ahead.

The fight for Europe:
This could be the year when a new club breaks into the top four. Having said that, from a few years ago with a 'big four' (Man. United, Chelsea, Liverpool & Arsenal) to a 'big two/three ( Manchester United, Manchester City & Chelsea), it has always been up for grabs. But this year, there are many clubs who are in the mix. Tottenham, Everton, West Brom & Arsenal are all close, with Stoke, Swansea and Liverpool a few points away.

I think Tottenham will take fourth, but the battle for fifth is a exciting one. Everton are probably to favourites, but West Brom and Swansea are looking good. Arsenal may pull through, and I half-expect the Gunners to grab a spot.

Relegation:
I think Reading and QPR are almost already down, but there are around four or five teams who could finish 18th. Wigan, Aston Villa, Southampton, Newcastle and Fulham are all in the danger zone.

So, let's look at my tables:

What I thought at the start of the season:

Table:
1. Man. City
2. Man. United
3. Chelsea
4. Liverpool
5. Tottenham
6. Arsenal
7. Newcastle
8. Fulham
9. Swansea
10. Stoke
11. Sunderland
12. Norwich
13. Reading
14. Everton
15. Aston Villa
16. West Brom
17. Southampton
18. West Ham
19. Wigan
20. QPR

And what I think now (after half the season):
1. Man. United
2. Man. City
3. Chelsea
4. Tottenham
5. Everton
6. Arsenal
7. West Brom
8. Swansea
9. Liverpool
10. Stoke
11. Norwich
12. Newcastle
13. Fulham
14. Sunderland
15. West Ham
16. Aston Villa
17. Southampton
18. Wigan
19. Reading
20. QPR
