Luis Suarez took Wigan apart with a hat-trick, as Liverpool won 4-0. Their Merseyside rivals also won, with Everton grabbing a 3-1 win against Reading.
In the North London derby, Gareth Bale scored as Tottenham beat Arsenal 2-1.
