Real Madrid have broken the world transfer record, paying Tottenham Hotspurs £85.3m (€100m) for striker Gareth Bale.
The 24-year-old Welsh international has won numerous awards over the past couple of years, after joining from Southampton for £10 million in 2007.
Gareth Bale is at least the fourth transfer to Real Madrid to break the world transfer record, after Zinedine Zidane, Kaka and Ronaldo.
