Borini moves to Liverpool but Maxi leaves

Fabio Borini has moved from Italian side Roma to Liverpool in Brendan Rodgers first signing as Reds manager.

The former Chelsea striker played under Rodgers at the Blues' academy and had a loan move at Swansea. He then moved to Parma, and then to Roma. He was one of the most prolific strikers in Serie A last season.

Although both teams have refused to tell the media the official price, it is thought to be 11 million. He will wear the no.29 shirt.

Meanwhile, Maxi Rodreguez has left the Merseyside club, moving back to his old team Newell's Old Boys.
