At approximately 9pm tonight the London 2012 Olympics will officially start!
A practise run was held earlier in the week, however that has been kept secret, so not to spoil the surprise.
Another mystery is who will carry the Olympic torch into the stadium in the last mile of 8,000 miles! Everyone has been guessing, and the favourite to do it is Sir Steve Redgrave. But it could be anyone!
The opening ceremony is a very important part of the Olympics, and David Cameron has been trying really hard to make it right, as has others, like Seb Coe.
So, soon the 2012 Olympics will have begun, and a series of exciting and amazing sporting events will follow.
