Euro 2012 analysis: Are Spain Unbeatable?

Maybe if Germany had got past Italy, they might have beaten Spain in the final. But let's not go into if's and maybe's.

Spain were amazing - Italy could not stop them from the first whistle to the last.

A risk was taken as the Spanish played without any strikers for most of the game and tournament, however, with the amazingly creative football brains of Andres Iniesta, Xavi, David Silva and Cesc Fabregas just to name a few, they didn't need a centre forward it seemed. There were times in the first half where a striker may have scored, but overall the plan succeeded!

Another thing that many people overlook, is that even if Spain's stars got injured, they have superb back-up in Pepe Reina and Victor Valdes for Iker Casillas, Santi Cazorla for a midfielder, plus many more. Not to mention the fact that two of their main players, David Villa and Carles Puyol, were injured for the whole Euros.

Are Spain unbeatable? As BBC pundit/commentator Mark Lawrenson said, it would be amazing if it was possible for this Spanish side to play the Brazilian greats of 1970.

Your comments are welcomed. If you think you know who the best team ever are, please comment. Maybe that Brazilian team? Liverpool in the 70's? Man. United of a couple of years ago? Barcelona?
